National Coalition of STD Directors

NCSD sponsors technical assistance for those project areas that are experiencing syphilis outbreaks and request personnel assistance. Through its Rapid Response Project and upon request, NCSD has sent consultants to areas experiencing outbreaks in which public health professionals assist in decreasing the number of syphilis cases. NCSD has sent eleven different consultants to various project areas to respond to the syphilis outbreaks and several of these consultants have participated in multiple requests for outbreak assistance. Project areas that have received technical assistance through NCSD's Rapid Response Project include:
